Spiral Wound Gaskets

Spiral Wound Gaskets (SWG) are made of spiral winding of a V-shaped metal strip and laying of a non-metallic filler (graphite, PTFE, mica, etc.)

Thanks to their structure, these seals can be used at high pressure, high temperature and under critical operating conditions. They are very suitable for sealing flange joints with strong and rapid changes in temperature and pressure and have good recovery behavior.

Spiral Wound Gaskets could be reinforced by a centering ring and / or an inner metal ring.

Our standard producing program includes range of spiral wound gaskets with inner diameter from DN20 to DN3500 mm and nominal wall thickness 3.2mm, 4.5 mm, 6.5 mm and 7.2 mm.

Spiral Wound Gaskets with non-standard sizes and forms, as well as with bigger diameters are also available on request.

Comb gaskets

Advantages
Comb gaskets have a characteristic design that includes a soft sealing band and a metal core with a serrated surface for increased stability. This design makes them extremely suitable for high pressure applications and large diameters for sealing heat exchangers and others.

Construction
The main element of the seal is metal strips. They are coated with 0.5 mm thick graphite film, and for greater stability, the metal part is pre-turned. It is possible to add external rings to contribute to stability.

Metal gaskets

Advantages
The metal rings are designed for heavy environments and high pressure (up to class 20000 #). They are precision-made devices designed to fit flanges with a specific sealing surface and meet the ASME B16.20 and API 6A standards.

Construction
The metal gaskets are single rings and their cross-section may be oval, octagonal or non-standard for higher pressure. Compaction is achieved by a certain crushing of the seal without damaging the sealing surface of the flange.
